Woven with twisted yarn ballistic nylon for a denser, stronger weave. Featuring a DWR finish and backed with a waterproof membrane. Mandarin 840™ is a heavyweight high-tenacity nylon fabric with a rich and unique dobby weave. It exhibits excellent abrasion resistance while maintaining a supremely luxurious hand-feel.

IT STANDS. AND DELIVERS.

Travel backpacks must stand up on their own. This was a non-negotiable when we started designing the Panda. If you haven't experienced a backpack that can stand up on its own- you are in for a treat.

PREMIUM ZIPS

We custom sculpted our zipper pulls and gave them a nice taper and heft while strengthening them above standard. Placed on large YKK Vizlon™ teeth on the entire bag-this is the most enduring zipper with the smoothest action. Vislon™ teeth are easier to fix if ever jammed than common coil zippers.

Beautiful pack

I love everything about the bag! It's not so big that it gets in the way but it can certainly carry a lot if needed.
The material feels really special and dense. It does feel like it will last a long time and survive through a lot of adventures.
Every single interaction that you have with the bag feels very thoughtful and you can see how the designers worked so hard to make the bag a seamless but gratifying experience to use.

The only note I have is that the zippers are so large that there is a gap that is left when the zippers are closed. My concern is that rain could get in through that gap.

Something to think about and be mindful of how you use it. There is no perfect bag but this one gets really close!

Very Nice Bag; Doesn’t Fit Large Laptops

I’ll start off everything about this bag is nice. The design, materials, and craftsmanship. The size is great as a personal item to fit underneath the seat in front of you.

The two downsides for me is the back panel and the laptop compartment.

The back panel isn’t breathable and not good for a sweaty back. I wouldn’t use this bag in hot weather. I pack a separate daypack that’s lightweight and breathable.

The laptop compartment isn’t big enough to fit my large 17 inch laptop. I have a Dell Inspiron 7750 for work that doesn’t fit the compartment. It measures 15.75 x 10.38 x 1.14 inches. If you have big laptop for work keep this in mind. I won’t use this bag for work travel.
