We custom sculpted our zipper pulls and gave them a nice taper and heft and strengthened them above standard. They feel oh so good. Placed on large YKK VIzlon™ teeth on the entire bag-this is the most enduring zipper available and much easier to fix if ever jammed than common coil zippers.

I purchased the Duration Pack about a month ago and have been super impressed with the build quality, capacity, and the bags ability to stay standing up. I usually stick to a one bag carry with the Tom Bihn Techonaut 30L and I have a Tom Bihn daylight briefcase that I throw in there for the office but this duration pack has been a gamechanger because I can two bag carry with a small duffel and not break my back. This bag is going to last a lifetime and is the perfect balance of being an office friendly professional bag, great for every day carry, and a very nice travel bag. I have even used it as a diaper bag for a day and the clamshell design worked perfectly as a hold-all when out and about.

Highly recommend the bag. If youve never had a bag that stands up by itself, its a gamechanger. I personally went with the Duration over the Panda because I wanted something a bit slimmer and I also felt like the design of the Panda pack was a bit too similar to Tumi alpha bags and larger than what I would prefer to haul to the office. You dont get a water bottle pocket with the Duration pack and that is about the only thing I can think of improving with this. However, its a tough thing to design into the bag because I love how the Duration pack looks in this first edition and I think a water bottle pocket would take away from the overall design of the bag. One option could be to add a hidden water bottle pocket like Osprey does perhaps.

I would also recommend the global pouch for the front bottom pocket. It fits perfectly and is a great complement to the bag.

Overall, highly recommend this bag. If youre on the fence, buy it and youll see the thoughtfulness that has been put into the design and manufacturing of this bag. It is super durable, feels and looks premium, and is half the cost of far too common Tumi’s. You wont regret the purchase!!

My favorite bag so far

I have many bags and also always looking for something better as EDC. Before buying the duration, my primary EDC was a goruck GR1 26l with field pocket. I have many GR1 in various materials and sizes. The Duration pack is perfect for me in terms of number of pockets and configuration. Too many pockets it is difficult to find items in a hurry and too few it is like a dump pouch. I also like the boxy shape and structure. The bag is able to stand on its own without having to lean against something. This bag would be perfect if the zippers were black.
