IT STANDS. AND DELIVERS.

Travel backpacks must stand up on their own. This was a non-negotiable when we started designing this project and all three bags will stand upright unassisted when even slightly filled.

PREMIUM ZIPS

We custom sculpted our zipper pulls and gave them a nice taper and heft and strengthened them above standard. They feel oh so good. Placed on large YKK VIzlon™ teeth on the entire bag-this is the most enduring zipper available and much easier to fix if ever jammed than common coil zippers.

V2 is good… not great!

I had high expectations with this pack, especially V2, but was left with a lot to desire! Overall design is good, but not great. I thought I could live without an admin section in the front pocket and just use a pouch, but it just doesn’t work for me. Having to remove a big pouch to get something that should easily be accessible in a properly divided admin section is cumbersome. Pioneer needs a to add an admin section for this bag. Next flaw, and this is a big one for me, is the fact that the pack does not stand on its own as advertised. I did notice the pack is shipped in a sort of flattened manner and this most likely caused the fabric to bend at the base and the pack to lose its shape. I have tried adding some filling when not in use to see if it maintains the shape, but sadly once removed the pack falls flat on its face, whether filled to the max or halfway. On a positive note, overall esthetics are amazing and the Mandarin 840 is legit! Zippers may feel somewhat rough, but I’m fine with them. 2 stars deducted due to the issues pointed out above.

The perfect Pack!

The Panda Pack 2.0 is already my second pack from Pioneer and I am very satisfied. The brand simply convinces me in all aspects: Design, functionality, quality and durability. I have been looking for a perfect backpack that fulfils all my requirements for
years and both the Panda Pack and the Savant Pack have done it! I hope you will also bring out a sports bag and a larger travel bag. :)

The v2 in my personal opinion doesn't quite live up to the v1 due to new rougher zippers and less of an ability to self stand. The new front zipper shapes are also a bit of downgrade in my personal opinion, both stylistically and functionally.
I have added a couple of stars for the amazing customer service however I do feel like the product page could've been more transparent with the changes.
